Dakota J. Rohde

 

Dakota J. Rohde, 18, of West Union, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013, in a tragic auto accident.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013, at Victory Christian Church in West Union, Iowa with Rev. Roland Waterman officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Becker-Milnes Funeral home in Fayette and for one hour preceding services at the church on Friday. 

Dakota Joseph Rohde, son of Marty Rohde and Goldie Franks Moore, was born February 4, 1995, at West Union, Iowa. He received his G.E.D. at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids. He was employed at Moss Roofing in West Union and lived at home with his parents. His hobbies were 4-wheeling, dirt-biking, snow-mobiling, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. He always had a quick smile for everyone and a big heart.

Dakota is survived by his mother, Goldie Moore and father, Marty Rohde; a sister, Angie Maness;  a niece, Becca Maness; his paternal grandfather, Ben Rohde; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and too many friends to list.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Norma S. Rohde; maternal grandparents, Martha and Robert Franks; a nephew, Steven Garlow; an aunt, Becky J. Rohde; and an uncle Danny Keig.
